The 2020 update to a study conducted by Stanford University recognized 3 faculty in the DATA Initiative as among the world’s most-cited researchers. Looking at several indicators, this study covers ~7 million scientists in 22 major fields ranging from chemistry to engineering to economics and business.
Charles Bame-Aldred is an Executive Accounting Professor at Northeastern University. He has joined the DATA Initiative today to talk about his work creating the Hub of Analytics Education or HUB. Charlie is the President and Chairman of the HUB of Analytics Education and develops datasets and educational materials for distribution to faculty around the globe.

Q. Why did you decide to pursue a computer science and business double major?
Suraj: I had technical classes in high school (AP Computer Science) but I also wanted to learn more about the business and operations side.
Q. What co-ops or job experience do you have in this field?
Suraj: I worked at an insurance firm, Brighthouse Financial, and now at Bain Co., both as data analysts.
